8. COOKIES

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We and some of the services we use place cookies and similar technologies on our pages.

How we ask for your consent

We ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel do not run in your browser until you allow them. When you first visit, you can allow all, deny, or choose by category: Necessary, Preferences, Statistics and Marketing. On pages that use non-essential cookies, you can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.

Your choice is stored in a consent cookie on your device, so we can respect it on your next visit. We ask for your choice again every 12 months, or sooner if you delete this cookie. Your choice is also recorded by our consent provider, Cookiebot, so that we can show that consent was given.

What we use

Necessary. These keep the site, bookings and payments working securely, and cannot be switched off:

  • Cloudflare sets security cookies that protect our pages against automated abuse.
  • On our book sales page, Stripe sets cookies needed to process payments securely and prevent fraud.

Preferences. We do not currently use any preference cookies.

Statistics. Google Analytics, provided by Google, helps us understand how visitors use our pages. Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft, records how visitors interact with a page, such as clicks, scrolling and movement, so we can improve it. Text on the page and anything typed into forms is masked and not recorded. These run only if you allow Statistics.

Marketing. The Meta Pixel, provided by Meta, helps us measure our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. It runs only if you allow Marketing, and nothing is sent to Meta, from your browser or our servers, if you decline.

Set by our booking platform. Our booking platform, GoHighLevel, sets a visitor identifier (msgsndr_id) when you arrive on our pages. It records the pages you visit, your IP address and the page or link that brought you to us, which we use to understand where our bookings come from. This identifier is set whatever you choose in the cookie banner, because our platform does not allow it to be switched off. The information is kept in our booking system and used only by us.

Fonts. Some of our pages display fonts provided by Google Fonts. To show them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.

Full cookie list

The table below lists every cookie currently found on our site, with its provider, purpose and duration. It updates automatically when our site is rescanned.

Each browser works differently; its help menu explains how. If you block all cookies in your browser, some parts of the site, such as booking, may not work properly.
